Hi all,
I am a student investigating how to use different automated tools (at the moment QuickTest Pro). I wonder if you experienced users usually use c/r to create reusable scripts or if you write you own scripts?
Thanks

In general, the more experienced the scripter, the less you tend to rely on capture/replay.
Thanks for your answer Joe!
Why don't you use c/r? Is it because writing scripts is faster, it is easier to create reusable scripts without c/r or?
If so, why is it easier to create reusable scripts writing them by your self and what should c/r be used for?

Once you learn the scripting language, writing scripts is pretty simple.
In general, written scripts can more easily be generalized than scripts created during capture/replay.
Capture/Replay can still be useful when you don't know how to write the script for a particular action, or don't know how to identify a particular object.
