I use the term to define the bug turnaround time, i.e. the time between raising a bug and it being sent back to me for testing.
What are you trying to use it for?
Usually done on defects that have not been sent back to QA as fixed. Shows how long defects have been open and also the number that have been open for the same period of time. I usually do this by Defect Severity as we expect the turnaround on high level defects to be faster that those on low level defects.
i was asked this question.. when the developers dont have time to work on low priority defect and it keeps on accumulating then wht will u do..
so it means by defect analysis.. we'll have to create another report of the pending defects ?
